Transportation Incidents

Arkema Inc. monitors and responds to all transportation incidents. Two teams have been created to reduce and manage transportation incidents. The PROACTS Team (Preventing Risk or Accidents for Chemicals in TranSport) administers, oversees, communicates and evaluates proactive transportation safety measures within Arkema Inc, its suppliers and carriers. This includes activities such as, risk assessments, return of experience, security, training, benchmarking, stakeholder qualifications and trends.

In the unlikely event of an incident, the REACTS Team (Responding to Emergencies & Accidents for Chemicals in TranSport) Team works to provide fast, efficient and effective response if an accident occurs.

Our goal is to ensure 100% safe, secure and uninterrupted transport that complies with all applicable laws & industry standards.

We report to the ACC incidents involving hazardous materials or hazardous waste that are reported by carriers to the Department of Transportation as required by 49 CFR 171.16.
