The surface of hospital beds and equipment protected with Rilsan® Fine Powder coatings remains unaffected after being treated at these conditions 120 times. Microbe proliferation tests have shown that Rilsan® Fine Powders are superior to painted or plated surfaces. Rilsan® Fine Powder coating does not support or encourage bacterial growth.
Wire baskets used for autoclaving medical glassware is subjected to steam sterilization at 110°C - 120°C for 45 to 90 minutes. Rilsan® Fine Powder coatings protects the metalwork from corrosion and the glassware from impact and vibration. These coatings have survived repeated cycles per day over several years.
Rilsan® Fine Powder coated equipment has withstood ethylene oxide sterilization 5 times a week for more than one year without deterioration.
Rilsan® Fine Powder coatings used as electrical insulation on stainless steel surgical instruments withstand repeated sterilization.
