 Arkema offers a full line of organic peroxides for use as initiators in the production of acrylic resins for paints and coatings. As mentioned above, our t-Amyl peroxide line is a class of commercial organic peroxides offering incomparable advantages in the production of high solid coating resins, by generating low molecular weights and narrow polydispersities.

Arkema's Luperox® Organic Peroxides are the products of choice for many acrylic resin and coating applications. Our products offer advantages in high-solids-coating resins by generating low molecular weights and narrow polydispersities.
In many acrylic applications (e.g. coatings and solid surfaces), color can be of critical importance. Arkema's line of Luperox® Organic Peroxides provide high quality, colorless, results. For processes using azonitrile initiators, Luperox® Organic Peroxides have been shown to provide equivalent of or enhanced reaction rates while avoiding the yellowing that is commonly observed with the use of azonitrile products. In applications where azonitrile use leads to VOC generation, substitution with Luperox® Organic Peroxides has been shown to produce less VOC emissions than comparable systems processed using azonitriles.
