Lotryl™ Resins Gloves

Lotryl™ Resins can be used for the following glove applications:

  • Veterinary gloves
  • Medical gloves
  • Gloves for food contact
  • Gloves to prevent fingermarks
  • Gloves for working in clean rooms
  • Disposable protective gloves
    • For glove applications Arkema has developed two grades of Lotryl™ Resin.

    EBA* = ethylene butyl acrylate copolymer EMA** = ethylene methyl acrylate copolymer

  • Lotryl™ 7 BG 04 Resin should be used blended with 10 to 30% of film quality LDPE as it produces a blocky film in its pure state.

  • Lotryl™ 14 MG 02 Resin is a formulated product, ready to use.

    Properties important in gloves are:
    • Sensitivity- glove must conform to finger and allow sensation
    • Seal strength- avoids contamination.
    • Anti block- glove opens easily.
    In the table below these properties are compared to polyolefins.

    Processing

    Lotryl™ Resins can be blown film and cast film extruded on the same equipment used for LDPE or other ethylene copolymers.
