Kynar Foam


Kynar® PVDF foams are tough, lightweight, insulating materials that offer excellent properties and are available in sheet stock which can be thermoformed to produce a variety of shapes.  Another foaming technology is used for the production of reduced-weight jacketing for wire and cable

Certain forms have been tested according to ASTM E84, FM4910, NFPA 262, and UL 94 (V0). Several grades are conforming to USP, and to FDA 177.2510 or 177.2600 for Repeated Contact with Food, and are listed to NSF, and to CRC Kosher.

• Service temperature range of -50°C to 155°C
• Chemical, fuel and corrosion resistance, compatible with most sterilization methods

• Microbial growth resistance, passes ASTM G21
• Low moisture absorption
• Abrasion resistance
• High purity for specific foam grades
• Bouyant, closed-cell structure
