| Pharmaceutical Kynar® resins, processed without additional additives or processing aids, are very pure materials for handling water and chemicals that have special purity requirements. Kynar® PVDF can be repeatedly autoclaved and cleaned with 30 psi steam without changing physical properties. In the pharmaceutical industry, Kynar® PVDF fluid handling components are used for the handling of high purity water, acids, chlorinated cleaning solutions, bromine and chlorine containing compounds, oxidants (ozone and peroxides) and solution mixtures. Kynar® resins are also used in the growing single-use market due to high temperature capabilities, weldability and sealability, ability to sterilize with steam, chemicals and radiation, non-binding properties and overall chemical resistance. Complete tubing and fitting systems as well as bags made from Kynar® resins are available under the tradename Kynar® Rx. Kynar® ADX resin can be used as part of multilayer structures for the containment and transport of corrosive, highly permeable, or high purity substances. Additionally, it can be used as a chemically resistant coating for vessels and other structures.
