Chemical Process Industry (CPI)
Kynar® PVDF components are used extensively in - general chemical processing for corrosive chemical and higher temperature applications
- the high-purity semiconductor market requiring low extractable values
- pulp and paper industry for excellent resistance to halogens and acids
- nuclear waste processing for resistance to radiation and hot acids
- water treatment membranes in both industrial and potable water use
Several Kynar® resin grades are Kosher Certified, NSF 51 & 61, and USP Class VI compliant. Certain grades of Kynar® resins are also conforming to FDA 177.2510 and 177.2600 for Repeated Contact with Food.
Kynar® and Kynar Flex® resins are naturally flame retardant with a limiting oxygen index between 42 and 65 and meet certain flame and smoke test criteria. Special formulations meet ASTM E84 25/50 ratings in solid or foamed structure.
