This in turn makes the bottles more resistant to scuffing and scratching and less susceptible to breakage. By making the bottles more "slippery," the post-coating process also improves production flow, enhancing the efficiency of filling plant operations.

Because they retain shelf appeal after as many as 50 return cycles, treated bottles can remain in service up to twice as long as uncoated bottles.
