Arkema Inc., exhibiting for the first time, will show its newest line of organic peroxides at the upcoming ACS Rubber show October 13-15, 2009 in Pittsburgh, PA (Booth 1148).  With the recent purchase of the Di-Cup^® dicumyl peroxide and Vul-Cup^® peroxide catalyst product lines, the Company is eager to demonstrate its full capabilities with these new products in addition to its well-established Luperox^® organic peroxide brands.

Arkema offers single-source access to many different organic peroxide products and chemistries, for applications not only in the crosslinking and rubber industry, but also composites and polymer initiation.  In addition to the organic peroxides line, the company will also have information available on ECHO^® A, a cost-effective, high-performance vulcanizing agent for chlorinated polyethylene.

Product managers and technical personnel will be available at the booth to answer questions about formulations, capacity and applications. 

According to Leo Kasehagen, Business Director, Automotive & Initiation for Functional Additives, “our current line of organic peroxides is considered a standard in the crosslinking industry due to their excellent quality and ease of use.”  The Di-Cup^®, Vul-Cup^® and Luperox^® organic peroxide brands may well be the most recognized and trusted names by today’s top manufacturers.

Arkema acquired the Organic Peroxide Business of the American company GEO Specialty Chemicals Inc. earlier in 2009.  This business will reinforce the Performance Products segment of Arkema, in line with Arkema’s transformation strategy.
