Arkema Promotes Three Executives to Key Management Positions

Arkema Inc. (formerly Atofina Chemicals, Inc.) has announced the promotion of three executives effective March 10, 2005. These promotions include: Rich Rowe to group president of Additives Worldwide, Frank Tortorici to group president of Organic Peroxides Worldwide and Jay Reyher to regional group president of Technical Polymers.

Rich RoweRowe will assume global responsibility for Additives Worldwide. Previously, he served as Arkema’s group president for Organic Peroxides Worldwide. Prior to that he was vice president supply chain, regional group president of Technical Polymers and regional group president of Performance Polymers. Before coming to Arkema in 1999 from Ato Findley, Inc., he held a variety of sales and marketing roles in the Organic Resins Division at Hercules Inc. Rowe holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA. He currently resides in Ardmore, PA.

Frank TortoriciAs group president of Organic Peroxides Worldwide, Tortorici will be responsible for global operations. Previously, Tortorici served as Arkema’s regional group president in North America for Technical Polymers, as well as worldwide general manager for Fluoropolymers. Since coming to Arkema in 1985, Tortorici served as business manager for Metablen® Impact Modifiers and Process Aids, and Industrial Polymers. He holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Houston in Houston, Texas. Tortorici currently resides in Philadelphia, PA.

Jay ReyherReyher will serve as regional group president of Technical Polymers and worldwide general manager for Fluoropolymers. Previously, Reyher was business director for Thio Intermediates. Prior to that, he was general manager for Arkema Coatings and Epoxides and business manager of PET Catalysts and Glass Coatings. Reyher holds a B.S. in chemical engineering from the University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio and an M.B.A. from the University of Phoenix in King of Prussia, PA. He currently resides in Newtown Square, PA.
