Arkema's Norsocryl^® Basic Acrylic Monomers are comprised of Acrylic Acid and Acrylate Esters. Acrylic Acid is used in water soluble polymers for dispersing agents, flocculants, super-absorbents, and detergents. Arkema is one of the few monomer suppliers that can offer all four of the acrylate esters: Methyl Acrylate (MA), Ethyl Acrylate (EA), Butyl Acrylate (BA), and 2-Ethyl Hexyl Acrylate (2-EHA). Norsocryl^® Basic Acrylic Monomers can be used for such items as acrylic fibers, resins, and dispersions for paints, inks, varnishes, and papers; aqueous dispersions for non-woven materials, textiles, and leathers; adhesives; and oil and petroleum additives.
