Introducing Thermolite^® 140 Heat Stabilizer

Thermolite® 140 tin stabilizer, listed in the Plastic Pipe Institute (PPI) range formula, is a cost effective tin stabilizer intended for rigid PVC applications like siding substrate, standard pipe, foam core pipe, conduit, and larger diameter pipes.  It offers heat resistance in pipes produced for use in warmer climates and has shown no discoloration during storage in high temperatures.

Arkema's Functional Additives business offers Thermolite^® tin heat stabilizers, as part of its full range of plastics additives.

Arkema offers a complete range of tin stabilizers including products from the three main chemical families: octyltin mercaptan primarily for food applications, butyltin mercaptan for construction applications, and methyltin mercaptans for both food and construction applications.

Food grade stabilizers are suitable for rigid PVC applications using calendered sheets (packaging, blister packs), extruded and blow moulded containers and bottles (bottle manufacture), and injection moulded components (connections, etc.).
