Fuel Permeation

Kynar® PVDF has very low fuel permeation, as indicated in graph 1. Graph 1 shows that its permeation is significantly lower than the ones obtained for HDPE, Polyamides and EVOH.

Graph 1: Comparison of fuel permeations measured for Kynar® PVDF, HDPE, Polyamides and EVOH at 60°C.

Kynar® PVDF structures are listed for:

- UL971 underground gas station flexible pipe (Permeation<1 gram/day/m2)

- CARB with a permeation given at 0.2 g/m2/mm/day for fuel CM15.
