Optical Profilometry

A profilometer is used to measure the morphology or roughness of a surface with vertical resolution at the nanometer level.  At Arkema Analytical Solutions we use laser optical profilometry for material surface characterization applications including:

• Measurement of height and lateral dimensions of nanometer-sized objects
• Quantification of surface roughness
• Correlation of surface appearance and surface morphology
